Jose Maria Cava
Managing Director
Jose Maria has been in the private equity industry since 2004. He co-founded Gladia Capital in 2007, a mid-market independent private equity firm focused on the iberian market.
Jose Maria gathers over 25 of professional experience. He served as Managing Director in Fortress Investment Group and previously was CIO of private equity at BBVA. Before, he was a Director at BBVA Corporate Finance providing M&A advisory services to Iberian and Latam SMEs and Corporatios. Jose Maria has been board member on several non-public companies.
Jose Maria received a PDG from IESE Business School, and a BBA in Business Administration and LLB in Law from ICADE.
Alvaro Gaspar
Managing Director
Alvaro is a Managing Director and co-founder at Gladia Capital. He has over 25 years experience in strategy, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and turnarounds.
Prior to joining Gladia Capital, Alvaro was Head of Spain of the Ambrosetti Group, a pan-European strategic consultancy. Previously we worked in Arthur D. Little as a partner for financial institutions; in Everis as Senior Manager and in McKinsey & Co as an associate. Before Alvaro was Head of Corporate Development in Carrefour Spain; and in Strategic Planning for BBVA.
Alvaro MBA from the University of Chicago, received a PDG from IESE and a BBA in Business Administration from ICADE. He is also a professor in CUNEF and in the University of Alcalá.
Jacobo Martinez-Lage
Senior Investment Director
Jacobo has spent his entire career focused on private equity. At Gladia Capital, Jacobo supports all investment underwriting activities.
Prior to joining Gladia in 2010, Jacobo was an investment director at Alanka Capital, a Madrid based investment firm focused on turnarounds. Previously he worked in the private equity advisory group at KPMG in Singapore.
Jacobo is a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad de Navarra and earned his MBA from IE Business School.
David Castillejo
Senior Investment Director
David is responsible for overseeing financial due diligence and execution on new investments. For existing portfolio companies, he is responsible for ongoing monitoring and supporting current investments.
David joined Gladia in 2014 after having spent nearly a decade in private equity in the US representing approximately $600 MM in value of deals, and bringing 12 years of prior investment and advisory experience to Gladia.
David is Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad Computense of Madrid an earned his MBA from the Ross School of Business in Michigan (USA).
Maria Jose Bravo
Investment Director
Maria Jose joined Gladia Capital in 2020. Previously, Maria Jose held alternative investment roles in Mutua Madrileña and provided financial and investment advisory to high-net worth investors in Abante Asesores, gaining in both positions extensive experience.
Maria Jose´s roles include sourcing and executing investment opportunities, as well as supporting the strategic initiatives of portfolio companies.
Maria Jose graduated as a Bachelor Lawyer (LLB) from ICADE University and gained a PDG from IESE Business School.
Andrea Alcocer
Investment Analyst
Andrea´s work is focused on the modelling and analysis of new investment opportunities. She also supports ongoing financial and operational monitoring of current investments assisting with the preparation of Gladia´s quaterly financial reports.
Prior to joining Gladia Capital in 2019, she served as controller of Wear II Properties, a private real estate company based in Madrid.
Andrea graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree (with distinction) from ESADE Business School.
